This service is ideal when original documents cannot be submitted but a verified copy is required for business, legal, or international use.

What Is a Certified Copy?

• A certified copy is a document that has been reviewed and formally certified by a notary to match the original.

• It’s important to note:

  1. We certify the copy, not the content of the document

  2. The original document must be present at the time of the appointment

How the Process Works

1. Document Review - The original document is reviewed for completeness and condition

Important Limitations (Texas Law)

In Texas, notaries are limited in what documents they can certify.

We cannot certify copies of:

• Birth certificates

• Marriage licenses

• Death certificates

• Divorce decrees

• Court-issued documents

• Any publicly recordable document

These must be obtained directly from the issuing agency.
